Roadmap and Planned Features
Uplinkr is developed incrementally with a strong focus on operational usefulness, low noise, and CLI-first workflows. The roadmap reflects real-world priorities rather than feature completeness.
v0.4.x - Operational Refinement & Certificate Awareness
Section titled “v0.4.x - Operational Refinement & Certificate Awareness”Status: planned / active refinement phase
The v0.4.x series focuses on strengthening the current monitoring workflow before broader analytical features are expanded.
This phase prioritizes practical operational improvements, structural cleanup, and better visibility into time-sensitive infrastructure risks.
Planned direction:
- SSL certificate expiration alerts with configurable warning thresholds
- Flexible notification timing for certificate expiry windows
- Foundational preparation for upcoming analysis and reporting features
- Refinement of the current internal structures before analysis expands further
- Structural improvements, maintenance work, and targeted stability fixes
- Continued CLI and workflow polish around existing monitoring features
The goal of this phase is to make Uplinkr more reliable in day-to-day operation while preparing the codebase for the next analytical step.
v0.5.x - Analysis & Insights
Section titled “v0.5.x - Analysis & Insights”Status: experimental / subject to change
With a stronger operational foundation in place, v0.5.x is expected to expand analytical capabilities in a more deliberate way.
This version line builds on the preparatory work introduced in v0.4.x.
Planned direction:
- Result summaries
- Basic trend detection
- Aggregated CLI insights
- Optional analysis modules
- More structured evaluation of collected probe data
These features will remain experimental and non-critical to core monitoring stability.
Important: The roadmap is not a promise. It represents direction, not deadlines.
Features may be added, removed, or postponed based on:
- Community feedback and real-world usage
- Maintenance of core simplicity
- Alignment with uplinkr’s philosophy
